Meet Christine Tesoro-Bieberly, the Administrative Assistant for Accounts Payable at Boone County Family Resources. She has worked for BCFR for 21 years.
Q: What is one favorite and one least favorite thing about your job?
A: My favorite part of my job? I think my favorite part is working closely with our Supported Living staff. I appreciate the direct support they give to the people we serve and I also appreciate the teamwork they have with the Administrative staff. The supported living staff have a big financial oversight responsibility for their clients and I enjoy being able to work them and help them. My least favorite part of my job? It can be stressful at times.
Q: Do you still like this job?
A: Yes, I take pride in the work that I do and I like knowing I can be helpful in the “behind the scenes” part of the services our Agency provides. Someone has to pay the bills!!
Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: I love to travel and experience new things. One of our biggest enjoyments is enjoying Missouri wineries and finding new wineries wherever we travel. I love to crochet, garden, read and go fishing. We also love to go boating at the lake with our friends.
Q: Tell me about your family.
A: I am proud to say my husband, Jerry, and I just celebrated our 30th anniversary! We met 31 years ago at Air Force basic training in Texas. I am originally from California and my husband is from Missouri, which is how I ended up in this state! We have one daughter, Jennifer, who is now 26 years old and lives in St. Peters, Missouri. She got married last October to her now husband, John. Jennifer was active in competitive softball since she was 8 years old. Thanks to my supervisors here at work (who allowed my very flexible schedule) my husband and I were able to travel to her hundreds of games throughout the years and up through her college playing years. She now works full time for Monsanto as a Quality Control Specialist (Biologist) and is an Assistant Coach for the Washington University softball team. I must also mention my two “furry” sons, Jake and Cody. We are dog lovers and couldn’t imagine our lives without them!
